Words can tell a story. Videos can show an entire event with accuracy. But neither can capture the emotions of a single moment better than a photo. No words can encapsulate the emotion of a politician announcing his candidacy for public office. No video can show the exact moment when LSU QB Joe Burrow knew he had won himself the Heisman Trophy. The power photos hold is vastly different than any other medium. In six years as a photographer for Dawg Post and The Athens Banner-Herald, I’ve learned how to take advantage of their capabilities.
